ABOUT
Education & Work Experience
I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research in New York City. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans.
I have worked with a diverse range of patients in various institutional settings across New York City, including outpatient, day hospital, inpatient programs and psychiatric emergency rooms. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at New York University School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital Center and a post-doctoral fellowship at NYU School of Medicine World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence. Some of my prior experience includes positions at VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Montefiore Einstein Hospital, Maimonides Hospital and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital.
I have specialized training and interest in treating posttraumatic stress reactions. For over a decade, I have had the privilege of working with 9/11 First Responders as a Senior Psychologist with the NYU World Trade Center Health Program. As the Director of Clinical Training, I developed an externship training program, conducted trainings, and supervised graduate-level therapists.
I am certified as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider (PATP) through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, where I have had the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field of psychedelic therapy. This is a 250-hour program in psychedelics, which included extensive didactic and experiential training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).
